Originally put into production in the late 1970's in Taiwan, the BABA 30 was a very popular yet small and sturdy vessel capable of long offshore and ocean passages with a small crew.
This particular BABA 30 came to us in dier need of repair. The boat was left neglected in the Florida sun and required an extensive amount of work including: all new tanks, cabin sole, complete electrical system, new electronics package, water system, standing rigging, life lines, bowsprit, & britework.
Future work may include refinishing the cabin top, teak deck, & interior britework. Stay tuned!
Here we have a 16' Luders in need of hull restoration. The keel must first be stabilized and removed from the boat. Once removed, the boat was flipped upside down to assess the damage and bring back to life.
1. Removed from boat & inspected.
2. Clean, prep & prime for paint.
3. Final Paint.
The crew was very pleased to be involved in an exceptional major refit project. In this case a wonderful older fiberglass vessel, sound but in need of new systems (engine, wiring, plumbing, fuel and tanks, sanitation, and more.) We were very happy to be working with an owner with great vision and appreciation of classic design
